This is an unsolicited testimonial about my
friend Eric Reed. I insisted on writing the words that need to be said, because
he is a true friend and a true person.
We joked about how to make this website
reflect his actual personality rather than have it turn out to be another glossy
package of hype, like so many things out there in the marketplace. You will find
photos of E toiling away "behind the scenes", and on the surface, they show how
much hard work he routinely puts in to his craft. But there is a more sublime
tale told by these pictures, and more to the point, by every word and deed of
Eric: he toils behind those proverbial scenes with never an eye on eventually
coming out front for even a minute of fame. He is behind more than the scene, he
stands behind the music. There are few like him. With a healthy and necessary
irreverence towards the posers who inundate the business, he perseveres on the
side of art, on the side of INTEGRITY.
I am proud to know Eric. He sets the bar for
me and I'm grateful...Mani Nassefat

The last recording project for 2004 was at
NAL Sound where we laid down tracks for
Wyckham
Porteous. The project was
produced by the legendary
Andrew Oldham (producer/manager for the Rolling
Stones).

Steven Drake engineered some great beds at Greenhouse now over to me for
overdubs at NAL Sound.

2005 saw us recording
Leslie Alexander's next CD at the Factory
with John Ellis and Wyckham Porteous producing.

Eric went out on tour with Leslie Alexander
and the
Wild Rosehippies to showcase at Canadian
Music Week.
Glen was an impressed spectator and decided
to sketch them performing.
He e-mailed it along and we loved it so much
that we had to post it!
